About State6
Built by serving officers. For serving officers.
We are two serving officers. Between us, 38 years across four forces. One of us is a Chief Inspector. One is an Inspector. We are still in the job.
We built State6 because we kept watching the same thing happen.
Good officers. Officers who were ready. Officers the team needed at the next rank. Sitting in front of a board and falling apart. Not because they were not good enough, but because nobody had ever properly shown them how to do it.
We have both sat on promotion boards. We know exactly what assessors are looking for, the phrases that land, the mistakes that cost marks, and the quiet frustration in the room when a strong candidate loses their thread.
We also know what it is like to prepare for a board while working shifts, dealing with incidents, and trying to grab twenty minutes here and there to get your head straight.
And we know what it costs at home. The rest days that disappear into study. The answers drafted after a set of nights, when you should be asleep. The partner who covers things one more time so you can get twenty minutes at the kitchen table. Preparing for promotion does not just land on you. It lands on the people around you.
State6 was built for that reality. Not for people sitting in a library with three months to spare. For officers doing it properly, on their own terms, around the job.
Everything on here comes from genuine experience. The CVF breakdowns, the insider tips, the answer frameworks. None of it is recycled from the internet. It is what we wish we had been told.
We are not a coaching company. We are not consultants. We are colleagues who built a tool we would have wanted ourselves.
