Police and Crime Plan 2024 to 2028
Set by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire. The current edition is a mid-term refresh, which the Cheshire Police and Crime Panel endorsed on 17 July 2026. Stated aim: Your voice for a safer Cheshire.
- Listen to the publicLocal people help set policing priorities through citizens' assemblies in every local policing area, and victims of crime get better care and support.
- ModerniseBetter use of technology, including artificial intelligence, and a police estate that suits the way policing works now.
- Reduce crimePrevention work and offender rehabilitation to stop crime happening, alongside a police service that people can contact easily and that responds quickly.
Use these to choose which of your examples to tell, not as phrases to recite. An answer about a team problem lands harder when the panel can see it serves something the force has already said matters.

What this means for your board
The Police and Crime Plan 2024 to 2028 leads with the priority “Listen to the public”. Your panel knows this without looking it up, and an example that speaks to it is one they will recognise.
A promotion board at Cheshire isn’t only assessing whether you can lead a team.
